Seven actors who played Bhagat Singh on-screen

The list of freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of India, but legend Bhagat Singh is special in all of them. Bhagat Singh's views on Independence, country, and society made him Saheed-E-Azam.

Bhagat Singh was born on 28th September 1907 in Banga village of Punjab. He always has believed socialist activist, for fighting for the freedom of the country Bhagat sacrificed his life at the age of 23. His sacrifices at the small age and his ideology is the inspiration for a young generation. Bhagat Singh's political ideology is still relevant. This is the reason that Indian cinema always has given special place to Bhagat Singh in films and many times films on Bhagat Singh have come out.

1. Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh (1954) - This was the first film on Bhagat Singh which came just after 7 years of Independence. Jagdish Gautam directorial this film had Prem Adeeb Jairaj (Bhagat Singh) and Smriti Biswas in leading roles.

2. Shaheed Bhagat Singh (1963) - Shammi Kapoor played Bhagat Singh on screen in KN Bansal directorial flick. Whether Shakila, Premnath, Ulhas, and Achla Sachdeva played leading roles in the film.

3. Shaheed (1965) - In 1965, Manoj Kumar played the role of Bhagat Singh in his own film. S Ram Sharma directorial this film had Prem Chopra and Anand Purushottam in leading roles.

4. 23 March 1931 - Shaheed (2002) - After a long time the Indian cinema again recalls the memories of Bhagat Singh but this time with three films. In One of them, Bobby Deol played Bhagat Singh. In the same film, Sunny Deol played Chandrasekhar Azad.

5. The Legend of Bhagat Singh (2002) - In Rajkumar Santoshi's film Ajay Devgn played the role of Bhagat Singh and he even won National award for this film.

6. Shaheed-e-Azam (2002) - In this film, Sonu Sood played leading role of Bhagat Singh. Sukumar Nayyar directed the film.

7. Rang De Basanti (2006) - Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directed a film Rang De Basanti on the social issue, in this film he also connected the life of characters with freedom fighters. Actor Siddharth played the role of Bhagat Singh in the film.
