The year 2018 has seen a tremendous opening of many movies on the box office and with every new movie coming up comes a new hope that this movie too will break any record and a similar incident has happened with Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju Dutt biopic Sanju that stars Ranbir Kapoor in the leading role.
The movie has just released and has broken a very crucial record that will surprise you. Now you must be wondering as to which record it broke just after its release and so let us make it clear to you that the movie has defeated Salman Khan's Race 3 and has made its spot on the fifth place of the highest advances of all times.

The top four places have been secured by Baahubali: The Conclusion, Avengers: Infinity War, Tiger Zinda Hai and Sultan and now Race 3 has slipped to the sixth position in the list. As per Box Office India, Sanju has made 20 crore net plus collections pre-release. The BOI further stated that it is the Hindi movie that has the highest ATP (Average Ticket Price) after Hollywood film Avengers - Infinity War.
Sanju has great sales in the major multiplexes but the sale in smaller and single screens is comparatively less. But still, it has advance collection higher than Race 3 and Dangal. Not only this, Sanju has released on 2300 cinemas and has reached out to around 4200 screens.

Race 3 had an occupancy rate of 50% while as per the latest reports the initial occupancy in early morning of Sanju is 50-55% and later which is being expected to go around 60-65%. Along with Ranbir, the movie also has Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Vicky Kausal, Jim Sarbh playing pivotal roles.
