Salman Khan tops the list of taxpayers in India; here is the list

The Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has topped the list of the highest advance tax payer in India by paying Rs 16 crore. The Khiladi Kumar of Indian film industry Akshay Kumar, who held the top spot last year by paying Rs 18 cr, falls behind Salman by shelling Rs 11 crore as per the reports by Pinkvilla.

The Greek god of Bollywood Hrithik Roshan, who was not even on the list of the top taxpayer in last fiscal year, shares the second spot with Khiladi Kumar this year. The third spot is taken by 'Barfi boy' Ranbir Kapoor who paid 7.8 crore tax, the Rockstar fame had paid only 4 crore tax last year.

Surprisingly, ace comedian of India Kapil Sharma, who rose to fame from 'The Kapil Sharma show' made his debut in the list of highest taxpayer by beating 'The Secret Superstar' actor Aamir Khan. Mr Sharma paid Rs. 6.06 crore tax this year, while Aamir Khan paid Rs. 3.7 crores. The 'Dangal' star had paid 4.5 crore tax in the last year.

However, the Income Tax(IT) department have not disclosed the tax details of Bollywood queen Aishwarya Rai, Big B Amitabh Bachchan and King Khan of film industry Shah Rukh Khan.
