Saand Ki Aankh: Real life Shooter Dadi aka Chandro Tomar ill; admitted to Delhi AIIMS

Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Saand Ki Aankh which is based on Shooter Dadi’s Chandro Tomar and Prakshi Tomar. Recently the news is doing rounds that one of the shooter Dadi has fallen ill and is admitted in Delhi AIIMS from past two days.

Chandro Tomar an 87-year-old shooter Dadi was keeping unwell from last month while she was diagnosed with a chest infection when admitted to hospital. As per AIIMS doctor now improvement has been noticed in her condition. “Initially, we kept her in the high dependency unit. But now the patient has been shifted to the ward,” said Dr Vijay Gurjar, assistant professor, geriatric medicine, at AIIMS.

Earlier, on 15th April she was admitted to Ganga Ram Hospital but was soon shifted to AIIMS seeing her deteriorating health. According to Sunil Rathi, Chandro’s grandson said the before falling ill she was busy entertaining the team of Saand Ki Aankh. In fact, to get into the character the Bhumi and Taapsee were staying with her in Baghpat to fit into her shoes.

They are an inspiration to all the ladies out there, they learnt the shooting skills in the age of 60 years and won many championships since then they were famously known as ‘Shooter Dadi.’

The film is helmed by Tushar Hiranandani while it is being produced by Anurag Kashyap. The film is slated to release in last week of October.
