Not Jacqueline, Priyanka was the first choice for 'Drive'; Here is why PeeCee refused the film

The global desi girl of India Priyanka Chopra is currently busy in west with her third installment for ABC hit Quantico. Currently the global megastar of India can be seen in the streets of Italy shooting for her Hollywood project.

Earlier, there was news doing round on the internet that Priyanka Chopra will be seen in the Drive along with Sushant Singh Rajput. The film is directed by Tarun Mansukhani. Tarun had already worked with Priyanka in his directional debut Dostana, Priyanka alsso share great rapport with the director.

But later Priyanka declined the offer due to her projects in Hollywood. An industry insider revealed that “Tarun had Priyanka in mind for the female lead in Drive. He waited for her to get back to him with dates. However, her commitments in the West didn’t allow her to take on a new project and there came a point when Tarun had to either start or shelve the project. That’s when he started scouring for his leading lady and found his Jessie in Jacqueline.”

The source also revealed that the director was not happy with Bajirao Mastani fame because she kept the director hanging in the air about her decision. Tarun was also angry with the fact that instead of talking directly with the director Priyanka was making him talk with her mother Madhu Chopra have talk with him.

Currently the cast and crew of the film Drive is in Tel Aviv, Israel. The film is starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez.
