Kangana Ranaut tears into Rihanna again: Barbadian singer must've charged Rs 100 cr
Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has made a number of fresh claims about the farmers protest. The ‘Queen’ actress, who has been vociferous about her disfavour of the ongoing protest, in her latest interview had a go at singer Rihanna and climate activist Greta Thunberg, who not long ago made statements about the state of affair.
Earlier, both Rihanna and Greta shared the same news article about the farmers protest, precipitating mass outcry on Twitter, and even calling forth a statement from the ministry of external affairs. Neither of them has responded to the attacks so far.
In a latest interview with Republic TV, Kangana said that Rihanna, who is worth a reported $600 million ( ₹4300 crore, according to Forbes), must have taken at least Rs 100 crore for tweeting on farmers protest.
Earlier in the week, the Barbadian singer posted the news article and asked, "Why aren't we talking about this?!" Kangana subsequently launched repeated Twitter attacks against her, commenting on her career, her appearance, and her qualifications to speak on the subject. "She is a singer much like Sunidhi Chauhan or Neha Kakkar," Kangana wrote in a tweet. "She can shake her bum cheeks and expose her a** crack right in to the camera lens while singing. Ya that’s all. Nothing else."
During the interview, Kangana said that this was 'a conspiracy to brutally divide India into pieces'. She asked why Rihanna, who 'hasn't talked yet about COVID-19 pandemic, hasn't spoken about the US Capitol Hill riot, one day wakes up and tweets about farmers protest. She must have charged 100 crore at least, where are they getting this money from?'
Furthermore, Kangana Ranaut stated that, "Greta, this child whom they are hiding behind and using this is a masterstroke for India, she should get a Padma Shri."
Kangana said that she has lost endorsement deals worth Rs 15 crore because of her standpoint on the issue, and that she has basically been boycotted by the film industry, and has many cases against her.
