After Pyar Ka Punchnama Kartik Arya is back with his latest flick Guest In London that also stars Kriti Kharbanda, Paresh Rawal and Tanvi Azmi. The actor talks about his new film, working with Paresh Rawal and his life after the success of Punchnama 2.

Do you feel you are yet to make your name in the industry?
I feel people have started taking me seriously. Whatever kind of reviews that I have been getting from them since my first film has boosted my confidence. It has always made me work even harder. I still have a long journey and I can never contend that I have reached to a great level. If I ever contend then that would be the end of my career.

How has your life changed after Pyar Ka Punchnama?
My debut film, Punchnama wasn’t that big a film and a successful film as the second one. Punchnama 2 gave me that identity. I am really happy with the way my career is shaping up. The film has really changed my life to an extent that I get an opportunity to go and listen to the scripts and choose them. We bonded really well before the shoot took place and he complimented for my work in Punchnama. I feel that’s really kind of him.

How was it to work with Paresh Rawal in Guest In London?
I was very nervous at the start but, he is a very kind-hearted actor and a really genuine person. He is like my buddy now. We bonded really well before the shoot took place and he complimented for my work in Punchnama. That's really kind of him. I love him and Akshay Kumar, the kind of comic timing they have with each other in their films. To share screen space with Paresh Rawal is like a dream come true. In acting he switches on and off in just a second, I would love to work with him again and again.

Your film is clashing with Sri Devi's Mom and also due to GST the ticketing price will be raised... what do you think about that?
In a long run, it might be beneficial for all of us. Right now, it might be a problem but, I don’t think people would mind buying the tickets even if the prices are high. Talking about Mom, it’s a different genre. I would love if both the films work well as they target a different set of audience.

After Akashvani all the 3 films till now have been fun and light hearted ones...do you get offered other kind of films at all?
I do get offered the different type of genres maybe it’s just that I like these (light-hearted) scripts, that is why people are thinking that I am only focusing on comedy films. I would love to do a thriller or an anti-hero role. I have loved such kind of films where you can entertain people with subtle and natural comedy and also pour some emotions into it. I don’t know if it’s my forte. It’s a difficult thing to do and I find it very interesting.

Talk about your next film, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety..
It is again a comedy film. I can’t reveal much about it but, have recently started shooting for it. After 3 films once again Nushrat Bharucha and I will be seen together in this film. I am happy our chemistry is being liked by the audience and we share a nice bond. It’s the same cast, crew, director and co-actors again in this film. The film is being directed by Luv Ranjan with whom I have started my career. I feel he has a knack of knowing what the audience wants.
