Has Bhumi Pednekar increased her fees?
Bhumi Pednekar’s last two films Toilet- Ek Prem Katha and Shubh Mangal Savdhan have done well at the box office. The actress, who made her debut on screen with Dum Laga Ke Haisha, took her time to sign her second film and now it is said that she has decided to charge more for her upcoming projects.
A source was quoted as saying, “Bhumi’s debut film too was a sleeper hit and after her latest two releases, she has been demanding decent money. However she has not yet signed her next project so far, even after being offered quite a few films.”
Bhumi’s first film starred Ayushmann Khurrana, which was a rom-com. Her second film Toilet- Ek Prem Katha was about open defecation and starred Akshay Kumar with her. The film released on Independence Day this year and it went on to become a huge hit and earned more than Rs 100 crore at the box office. Her latest release Shubh Mangal Savdhan once again featured Ayushmann Khurrana and it dealt with erectile dysfunction. This film is still running successfully and earned Rs. 40 crore and has been declared hit.
