Happy Birthday Kapil Dev: ‘83 actor Ranveer Singh wishes former captain through Instagram post

Bollywood’s talented actor Ranveer Singh is all set to hit the theatres in March with Kabir Khan’s upcoming film ‘83 based on 1983’s World Cup. In the film, he will be portraying the role of Kapil Dev who became the first captain from the country to lift the coveted 50-over World Cupin 1983 at Lord’s.

As its Kapil Dev’s birthday, the actor took to his Instagram handle to wish the legend through a heartfelt post. In the image, we can see Kapil and Ranveer enjoying each other's company. He captioned the post as, “Happy Birthday, Legend! Thank you for showing us the way ❤🙏🏽 You made us proud. Now it’s our turn... @83thefilm 🏏🏆.”

In the upcoming film which is also a biopic of Kapil Dev, we will see Deepika Padukone essaying Ranveer’s onscreen wife that is she will be seen as Romi Dev. The film is slated to release on 10th April this year. Apart from Ranveer and Deepika, we will see Hardy Sandhu as Madan Lal, Tahir Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Sandhu, Chirag Patil as his father Sandeep Patil, among others.
