Goodbye Sridevi: From 'Chandani' to 'Judai' a tribute to the 'Nagina' of Bollywood
The legendary Bollywood actress Sridevi is no more with us now. On Sunday early morning the Chandani actress breathes her last in Dubai after a massive cardiac arrest at the age of 54. The actress was attending a family function in Dubai. Husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi were with Sridevi during the time of her demise.
Sridevi was born as Amma Yanger Ayyapan and have worked in several Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films before making her debut in Bollywood films. In late 1960's 'Chandani' girl started her acting career and she was awarded for her tremendous performance in Malayalam film 'Pommbata (1971) for best child artist.
Sridevi's Bollywood career started as a child artist in Julie (1975) and later she became one of the biggest female star actresses of India. In 2003, The government of India awarded her Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honor.
Sridevi was known for her remarkable performance in her films and the most loved onscreen pairing of Sridevi was with her brother-in-law Anil Kapoor. Sridevi's most successful films produced by her husband Boney Kapoor. Sridevi was Boney Kapoor's second wife and the duo has two daughter's Janhvi and Khushi.

Chandni (1989)- This was Sridevi's first film under Legendary director Yash Chopra's Yashraj Film Production house. The film starring Sridevi opposite Rishi Kapoor and Vinod Khanna was Super hit 80s film. Sridevi gave her heart-winning performance in the film.
ChaalBaaz (1989)- A Pankaj Parashar directorial film is a remark of 1973 film Seeta Aur Geeta, In this film, Sridevi portrays the double role of a twin sisters Anju and Manju. Sridevi shared the screen with Superstar Rajinikanth and Sunny Deol.

English Vinglish(2012)- After Judai Sridevi took 15 years break and marked her comeback with Gauri Shinde directorial film English Vinglish opposite Adil Hussain. The song Navrai Majhi was loved by the audience very much.
Mom (2017)- Film 'Mom' starring Sridevi as a vigilante along with Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui under Ravi Udyawar directorial was another come back hit of Sridevi after English Vinglish. Mom was Sridevi's 300th film and a final film appearance of her before her death on 25th February.
