'Eid Pe Pooja Hogi': Ayushmann Khurrana’s 'Dream Girl 2' teaser out; guess the release date

The sequel of the 2019 rom-com flick Dream Girl, which took moviegoers on a joy ride, has been announced. Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana took to his Instagram handle and shared a super funny teaser of the movie.

The teaser starts with Ayushmann thinking about the ongoing boycott trend in Bollywood and his friends can be heard saying ‘Bollywood ko nazar lag gayi hai ’. Funnily, he then announces that the film will be released on Eid next year. This time, actress Ananya Panday will be seen opposite the Bala actor.

"Aapki Dream Girl phir se aa rahi hai, miliye Pooja se 29th June 2023 ki Eid par. #DreamGirl2 in cinemas on 29th June 2023," Ayushmann wrote in the caption.

Not only that, the full cast has also been revealed. The impressive cast of Dream Girl 2 includes Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Asrani, and Manoj Joshi in pivotal roles.

Interestingly, Dream Girl 2 will hit the big screens on June 29 next year, which is the date of Eid. This means that the flick will clash in theatres with Salman Khan-starrer Tiger 3.

Dream Girl 2 traces the journey of a small-town boy Karam (Ayushmann) who is trying to live a serious life in Mathura and falls in love with Pari (Ananya) but life is hell-bent on not taking him seriously. In a turn of events, Karam becomes Pooja which creates further chaos in his already chaotic life.

The film directed by Raaj Shaandilya and produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures.
