ED reveals Rhea Chakraborty was part of many WhatsApp groups discussing drugs

The Enforcement Directorate, whilst probing the case against Rhea Chakraborty concerning the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has unearthed several chat groups where drugs were discussed. The law enforcement agency officials have discovered another indication where a National level snooker and billiards player, Rishabh Thakkar, is under the scanner for dealing in drugs.

This specific chat is different from the other chats that have come to light so far. This group on WhatsApp was created for a wedding trip to Udaipur and Rhea Chakraborty, Rishabh Thakkar and Kunal Jani along with others were members of the chat group.

Kunal Jani is a hotelier who works along with actress Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra. As per sources, chats found in this group were vis-a-vis the purchase of doobies and consumption was being talked about. In line with these chats, Kunal Jani was serve with a summons and questioned on Monday whilst Rishabh Thakkar was interrogated on Tuesday. Jani has told the investigating agency officials that he did not indulge in any kind of peddling while he has consumed narcotic drugs occassionally. He further stated that he knows Rhea as a friend.

Rishabh Thakkar told the Enforcement Directorate officials that he knew Rhea personally through common friends but has never supplied any drugs to her. Whth that being said, Rhea did not attend the wedding for which the chat group was made.

The other chats that have come to light were of Sushants house group which included Samuel Miranda, Shruti Modi, Rhea, Showik and other staffers including tahe late actor himself. Some direct messages between Rishabh Thakkar and an unknown individual where he is asking him to collect the drugs from him and pay a certain amount are also under scrutiny.

Similarly, a transaction found by the investigating agency officials is also under scan for which Thakkar could called again. The details will be shared with Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB)for further investigation by ED.

According to sources, Thakkar has competed against some of the top snooker and billard players in the past. Rishabh Thakkar's friends is also under the scanner now. He was aslso asked if Rhea bought any drugs from him.

Rishabh Thakkar, according to sources, told the investigating officials that he was not dealing in drugs but one transaction and the chats discussing contraband and its payments carries on to be under watch. His financial transactions are also being scanned.

Meantime, Gaurav Arya was quizzed on the second successive day by the probe agency. Gaurav gave all his financial documents to ED on Tuesday and stated that he had never supplied drugs to Rhea or anyone else.
