Deepika Padukone to play a leading role in film on Shashi Tharoor's wife Sunanda Pushkar death mystery

Andha Dhun director Sriram Raghavan's assistant director Shivam Nair is planning to make a thriller film on Sunanda Pushkar death mystery. Shivan earlier had directed films like Ahishta Ahishta, Bhaag Jhonny, and Naam Shabana. Besides, he also made documentaries on serial killers like Ranga Billa, Auto Shankar, and Feroz Daruwala.

According to media reports, Padmaavat actress Deepika Padukone is being approached to play the leading role in this film. Sunanda Pushkar death case is quite famous and it happened in the most shocking way. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor married to Sunanda Pushkar in 2010 and they had a love marriage. But just after few years of her marriage, she was murdered and the legal case is going on in Delhi court.

Sunanda Pushkar who was a businesswoman and politician Shashi Tharoor's wife was found dead in room number 345 in Hotel Leela Palace on 7th January 2014. In the starting investigation, it was called that Sunanda Pushkar had suicide but later on 1st July 2014, AIIMS doctor Sudheer Gupta claimed and said that he as pressured to provide a false report.

In this case, finally, Delhi Police's SIT filed a charge sheet after four years of the case and finally, in the April month, Delhi's court take police's charge sheet in the serious concern. Amit Singh will be producing this murder mystery and the research part for the film has done.

It is being heard that Naam Shabana producer Neeraj Pandey will co-produce this murder mystery film.
