Blackbuck Poaching Case: Hearing on Salman Khan's appeal against Rajasthan High Court today
Salman Khan’s most pending case of Blackbuck poaching will be held today in Jodhpur. Earlier the case was supposed to hold in February this year but was postponed to 3rd April. Salman in his appeal challenged the Rajasthan High Court’s verdict against his 5-year jail sentence for killing Blackbuck which was the endangered species.
In Jodhpur during the shooting of Hum Sath Sath Hai in the year 1998, Salman along with his co-stars Tabu, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam and Sonali Bendre went on a hunting spree in Jodhpur village and there he killed the Blackbuck and since then all of them have been convicted of killing the most endangered species.
In the last hearing Tabu, Neelam, Sonali and Saif were acquitted however only Salman was accused of killing and was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment under the Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and others under Section 51 read with Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code.
In fact last year he has announced imprisonment and Salman even spent one night in the jail and was soon released on bail. Salman and his lawyer are hoping that the result is in their favour like last year. Let's see what happens, there is so much on Salman’s shoulder, Bharat which is about to release and on the other hand he is shooting for his third sequel Dabangg 3 in Indore. While he will also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah alongside Alia Bhatt and this doesn't end here there are many more in his pipeline.
