Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif starrer, multi-crore budget film Thugs of Hindostan has turned up as a major disappointment for its fan and has received a big thumbs down from the critics. As it is a shocking news for Aamir Khan, there is one more bad news for the filmmakers. Just hours after worldwide release, Thugs of Hindostan was allegedly leaked online by infamous film piracy website Tamilrockers.
As per reports, the website, which has been administered internationally, uploaded the movie in all three languages.
Following the online leak, movie buffs wrote to the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) seeking legal action against the website for the leak. Meanwhile, the multi-starrer film has surprised everyone with its first-day box office collection. Despite garnering negative reviews from a critic as well as the viewers, the film has created history by collecting Rs. 52.25 Cr (all languages) on its opening day.
The Boxoffice India's report suggests the film that it has outgrown previous records set by Salman Khan starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, which collected Rs. 39.32 Cr. Thugs has recorded the highest pre-sales of all time for a Hindi film.
The movie also stars Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh besides British actor Lloyd Owen.
