Bappi Lahiri’s sudden demise left the entire nation in a state of mourning. After Lata Mangeshkar's death, it is another great loss to the music industry.
The veteran singer-composer took his last breath on February 15 at around 11:45 pm. Bappi Lahiri was suffering from OSA- Obstructive Sleep Apnea and recurrent chest infection. He died at the age of 69.
Bappi Lahiri has given music to more than 700 films in his career and also gave his voice to two generations of actors in Bollywood. Throughout his four-decade-long career, he has given several super hit songs and one of the most popular songs was Jimmy Jimmy which featured Mithun Chakraborty.
The song was a worldwide hit with a fan following in Eastern and Western Africa, the Middle East, East Asia, South, and Central Asia, the Soviet Union, and Turkey. Bappi Lahiri composed this song in the 1982 film Disco Dancer.
