Bad news for Saif Ali Khan, his new film 'Kaalakaandi' to not release in theatres
There were three films of Saif Ali Khan that were slated to release this year. His two films 'Chef' and 'Rangoon' have already hit the screens and now his third film is also going to release.
Earlier, there were speculations that Kaalakaandi is going to hit the screens on 8th November, but according to the latest developments, the film will not get a theatrical release now.
This is being told that the film 'Kaalakandi' will now only release on the digital platform. If the media reports are to be believed, the producers have taken this decision after the poor performance of Saif's last two releases Rangoon and Chef. That's why now distributors don't want to take the risk for releasing the film in the theatres.
However, there are also speculations that the Censor Board is not ready to clear the content of the film and due to this, it would not be easy to release this film in the theatres. This is to notice that a few films of Saif Ali Khan had not worked well at the box office. His last few films like Phantom, Happy Ending, Humshakals, Bullet Raja, and Agent Vinod all were the flop at the box office.
Once Saif Ali Khan also told that he has a lot of expectations from the film, he said "I am happy to be a part of 'Kaalakandi'. Akshat Verma has directed this film beautifully and only he can show this story in this way Mumbai is crazy and fun city and Akshat has captured it beautifully."
