Amitabh Bachchan’s wife Jaya expected to be country’s richest MP with assets worth Rs 1,000 crore

Bollywood actor and Samajwadi Party (SP) MP from Uttar Pradesh Jaya Bachchan would be the richest Member of Parliament of the country. As the veteran actor, who got married to B-town Big B Amitabh Bachchan, has declared the assets worth Rs 1,000 crore.

She has declared her assets while filing the nomination form as a Samajwadi Party candidate for the Rajya Sabha from UP. The actress property declaration could make her the country’s richest parliamentarian in India if she gets elected. Previously, the record was in the name of BJP’s Ravindra Kishore Sinha, who had announced his assets worth INR 8 billion in 2014, according to the reports by Indian media.

However, in 2012, Jaya had announced her assets worth 493 crores. But, now the legendary couple has immovable property worth Rs 460 crore whereas their movable assets have risen to Rs 540 crore from 343 crores in 2012.

The affidavit filed by the couple showed that they are having the gold jewellery of worth over Rs 62 crore. While, Big B also has 12 vehicles worth over Rs 13 crore, which includes Rolls-Royce, three Mercedes, a Porsche and a Range Rover. Amitabh also owns a Tata Nano and a tractor. Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan own watches worth Rs 3.4 crore and Rs 51 lakh only.
