Alia Bhatt's take on ex-boyfriend Sidharth Malhotra: 'I have a lot of love and respect for Sid'

Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt were the most sizzling couple of B-town, their on-and-off relationship was never confirmed by them, but the photo shoots they did showed their chemistry. Though they both split in 2017, still their relationship was the talk of the town until Ranbir Kapoor came in the picture.

In the show Koffee with Karan, Sidharth for the first time confirmed that he and Alia had been dating. He also said that it will always be 'civil' between the two of them. "I don't think it is bitter. I think we haven't really met after that, to be honest. It's civil. It has been a while. It happens, it's like any other relationship. I have known her for much longer. I knew her from even before we were dating. So it's not like we met as girlfriend-boyfriend. I think it will remain... It's just a matter of us coming back, whether it is work or whether it is just socialising," he said.

Sidharth also added that there is "so much history" with her. "I have given my first ever shot with her. We were doing the Radha song. There is so much history," he said.

While, in an interview with a daily, Alia too opened up on her relationship with Sidharth. "I have a lot of love and respect for Sid. We started off together in the industry. I have known him for a long time and there’s too much history between us. Honestly, there will never be issues. I have nothing but just positivity in my heart for him. I’m sure he wishes the same as well. We have witnessed several milestones of our lives together. He spoke about meeting and chatting and we were fine. There are no bad vibes," she said.

Asked if she and Sid could remain friends after their break-up, she said, "Yes, absolutely, why not? If two individuals can come to terms with whatever has happened and don’t keep things in their heart, it’s definitely possible.

Sidharth and Alia started their career together from the movie Student of the Year in 2012 and now have come a long way in their career, both of them are now established, actors.

Alia Bhatt has moved on and is now in a relationship with Ranbir Kapoor, while there are rumours of Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra romancing each other.
