After Kalank disaster; Karan Johar motivates director Abhishek Varman, offers new film
Since the Karan Johar produced the biggest venture ever Kalank has tanked at the box office, people started speculating that Karan Johar has sunk into depression. However, there is a shock to all those who were expecting Karan Johar to take a harsh decision after Kalank failure.
Reports were also that Karan Johar and Kalank director Abhishek Varman had a fallout and they both are made allegations each other over Kalank failure. However, now the reports of their fall-out have dismissed by the close source of Dharma Productions.
"On the contrary, Abhishek Varman was quite shaken the way Kalank was received. It was Karan who reassured Abhishek not to worry, gave him a pep talk reminding Abhishek that he had directed one successful film (2 States) and one now that didn’t work. So the report card is balanced. Karan has also told Varman to start working on a script" the close source related to Dharma Productions told Bollywood Hungama.
Let us tell you that Abhishek Varman who directed 2 States for Karan Johar also directed Kalank. Kalank was the most ambitious project of Dharma Productions because it was Yash Johar's last dream. The film even had the huge star casting having Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sonakshi Sinha.
