The film even bagged the National Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. Now Farhan Akhtar is all set to collaborate with Mehra after six years of their super hit film. Now both Mehra and Farhan Akhtar are collaborating for another sports-drama.
Today, the leading actor Farhan Akhtar announced his next project with a tweet on social media. He tweeted, "Thrilled to share that 6 years after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, @RakeyshOmMehra and I are reuniting to create #Toofan .. a heartfelt story of a boxer. Hope for your best wishes as we embark on this new journey. Love"
Mumbai Mirror quoted a source from the project, “It’s not a biopic. It is a fictional story scripted by Anjum Rajabali. Farhan fell in love with it as soon as he heard it. Rakeysh has already started with the prep and Farhan will be training extensively in boxing. He is looking forward to working with Rakeysh again. The film should roll this year,”.
This is to notice that Farhan Akhtar is busy in the shooting for his next film 'The Sky Is Pink' starring alongside Priyanka Chopra. After that, there are the reports are that Farhan is also going to direct the third sequel of his franchise Don starring Shah Rukh Khan.
