Woman stopped from boarding flight; know the bizarre reason
In a bizarre incident, a woman was stopped from boarding a flight as she was not wearing a mask as mentioned in the airline’s policy.
The incident took place in North Carolina. A woman alleged that she was denied boarding because she was wearing a see-through mask.
An American Airlines gate agent stopped the woman named Tarus Woelk to board the flight in North Carolina’s Charlotte. The reason was her mask.
The flight was going to Richmond, Virginia from Charlotte.
According to FOX46, Woelk was told by the gate agent, “You can’t wear that, you have to wear a different mask. Well, I can see your mouth."

The woman was asked to wear a disposal mask that was being given to her. However, she refused to change her own mask due to which she was denied to board the flight.
“I was like, ‘can you just take a minute and look at this? It’s a Shema mask, it’s used by professional athletes. It has a factor of 97 instead of 95. It’s more effective than what you want me to wear’,” Woelk was quoted as saying.
According to the airline’s mask policy, passengers should not wear a mask made of mesh or lace, or from having an exhaust valve or vent. On the other hand, Woelk believed that she didn’t break any guidelines of the airlines.
