Viral Video: Tourists hang upside down on broken amusement park ride
Tourists were left hanging upside-down on a broken amusement park ride. A video of the same is doing the rounds of the internet and is not for the faint-hearted people. The incident took place in China on January 19 as the ride suffered a mechanical failure.
In the now viral video, several tourists can be seen stuck on an amusement park ride in China’s Fuyang, in the Anhui province. The giant pendulum ride developed a fault for about 10 minutes and people could be seen hanging upside-down at the highest point.
"Amusement park-goers hung upside down for 10 minutes at the highest point of a giant pendulum ride after it malfunctioned in China’s Fuyang city. Workers had to clamber up to manually fix the ride and theme park officials said the malfunction was caused by a 'weight issue'" reads the caption of the post.

According to a report by TRT World News, workers had to manually repair the pendulum ride by climbing up on it. As maintained by officials, the malfunction was caused by a weight issue, as the number of people exceeded the limit.
As per local reports, tourists were issued refunds and were also offered help with medical expenses for the trauma caused to them because of the ride malfunction.
