UP Shocker: 16-year-old boy saves elder brother from deadly crocodile; spine-chilling deets inside

In a horrifying incident, a 17-year-old boy had a narrow escape from the crocodile attack after his younger brother came to rescue him. The incident was reported from the Madhotanda area in the Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh.

Both brothers identified as Vikas (17) and Neeraj (16), were working on the farm and after completing their work they were washing their hands at the irrigation canal on Friday.

Suddenly, Vikas's right leg was clutched by a crocodile and he found that it was dragging him towards the canal.

Vikas started screaming while trying to save himself from the crocodile. Fortunately, his brother Neeraj was there and he immediately picked up a big stone to distract the reptile.

Luckily, his idea worked and the reptile swam away into the canal and Vikas got saved from the horrifying attack.

After the incident, Vikas was immediately rushed to a local community center. His condition was said to be stable.

As per media reports, Neeraj told forest officials that he and his brother didn’t aware of the presence of the crocodile in the irrigation canal. Hence, Vikas went too close to the reptile and was attacked.

Gaurav Vishnoi, SHO Madthotanda police station, told TOI, "The victim was not expecting the presence of a crocodile in the canal which is why he was not careful."
