Tree struck by lightning crashes into man’s car; know what happens next

Someone has rightly said that the one who is sheltered by God cannot be killed by anyone. A man in the US state of Alabama can be called God’s favorite child.

According to a news report, a man named Henri Cheramie (37) had a narrow escape after a tree struck by lightning crashed into his car as he was sitting on the driver’s seat.

The incident took place when Cheramie was driving during a storm on May 4.

As per reports, Henri took a peek through his car’s sunroof to check the intensity of the storm. All of sudden, the tree had fallen on his vehicle and completely damaged the upper part of his black sedan.

Luckily, Henri just escaped from the major mishap. If he had moved a second earlier, then he could have died.

"I see lightning just arc across the sky and hit a tree. I lean a bit and go 'did lightning just strike that' and the next thing I know, half of my body is out of the sunroof and the top of the car is being weighed down by a giant branch that is bisected just where my face is," Henri told the Montgomery Advertiser.

Henri was left stunned after the incident happened with him.

"When that happened, electricity just sparked and everything lit up and I heard the power line pop and that's when I started yelling for help. I didn't want to die," Henri recalled about the horrifying incident.

However, his car was spotted by landscrapers, who called 911 for help. Later, a firefighter also reached the spot to provide further help to Henri in exiting the damaged car.

The most amazing part of this terrifying incident was that Henri had only minor cuts and bruises.
