Thief steals 1710 Covid vaccines; what he does next will win your heart!
Haryana’s thief is grabbing praise for showing humanity by returning the coronavirus vaccines that he has stolen from Jind’s Civil Hospital.
His act has also surprised police and other authorities as this has never happened before.
Know what happened?
On Thursday morning, Jind police received a police complaint that mentioned 1270 Covidshield vaccines and 440 of Covaxin has been stolen from the PPC centre.
Reportedly, the vaccines were stolen on Wednesday night from the hospital store.
Later, an unidentified man left a bag at a tea stall on Thursday noon outside the Civil Lines Police Station saying that it contained a food packet for staff, DCP Jind, Jitendra Khatkad said. Police left surprised after they opened the bag as it contained a handwritten note and the vaccines.
“Sorry, Pata Nahi Thaa Ismey Corona ki Dawai Thi [Sorry, I was not aware this packet contained Coronavirus Vaccine],” thief wrote in his ‘sorry’ note.
According to a Tribune report, there were many other vaccines were kept in the store which was not taken by thieves. Even there were valuable items like laptops and Rs 50,000 cash besides other things were also kept in the storeroom but thieves didn’t take away with them.
Meanwhile, no arrests have been made in the matter.
But, the incident must have reimposed faith in humanity amid the coronavirus crisis in the country.
