Spain: 77-year-old man arrested for hunting Pokemon on street during lockdown
The world is battling with coronavirus which has killed over 14,000 people across the globe. To combat the virus several countries have called lockdown. The number of cases skyrocketing day by day but no vaccine has been prepared yet. Therefore, governments of affected countries asked people to quarantine themselves so as to control the further spread of the life-taking virus.
However, there are several people who are not taking lockdown seriously and stepping out of their homes for unnecessary reasons.
A bizarre case has come to light from Spain where a 77-year-old man has been arrested for playing online game ‘Pokemon’ in Madrid.
Yes, you read right, the old man was out on the streets and in search of Pokemon while playing the game on his phone.
The news broke out when the Police department shared this news on Twitter on March 23. In the tweet, an official complaint registration document can be seen. The police department also wrote, “hunting pokemon, dinosaurs or any other creature is strictly prohibited during the lockdown." (translated from Spanish to English).

Since March 14, Spain had announced a complete lockdown due to a novel coronavirus outbreak in the country.
