The price of tomatoes is touching the sky in the market of Pakistan and people who are buying it feeling as they are purchasing gold. An extremely amusing case has come to light from the neighboring country where a bride can be seen wearing jewellery made up of tomatoes.
Because of the price of the red fruit, a bride decided to replace the gold ornaments and wear jewellery of tomatoes.
The bizarre video came to light when Pakistani journalist Naila Inayat shared a short clip of the bride giving an interview to a news channel, on her official Twitter handle.
In the video, the bride was seen wearing tomatoes with her bridal attire. Instead of wearing maang-tika, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, she wore jewellery made of tomatoes. Also, she revealed that she has received pine nuts in envelopes from his relatives as a wedding gift.
She revealed the reason behind ditching the gold jewellery in an interview, “The price of gold is very high. Tomatoes and pine nuts are expensive as well. So, I used tomatoes for my wedding.”
Naila captioned the video, “Tomato jewellery. In case you thought you've seen everything in life.”
