Pakistan pilot refuses to fly plane mid-journey for bizarre reason
A Pakistan pilot is hitting headlines after he refused to complete a journey in the mid-way. Due to bad weather, he had also made an emergency landing. The reason behind this bizarre thing was his working hours.
The pilot refused to complete his journey because his shift had ended. A plan with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the country’s national air carrier, was scheduled to take off from Riyadh in Saudi Arabia for Islamabad on Sunday.
The flight, PK-9754, took off from Riyadh but had to make an emergency landing in Dammam in Saudi Arabia due to the bad weather.
However, the captain of the flight denied flying from Dammam to Islamabad because his duty hours were over.
The reason for the pilot not flying the plane annoyed the passengers on the flight. As a result, they also refused to get off the plane in protest.

Later, authorities at the airport had to call security to bring the situation under control. Also, hotel arrangements were made for the passengers at the airport.
The PIA spokesperson told The Express Tribune, "It is necessary for the pilots to take proper rest prior to flying for flight safety so arrangements were made in this regard."
The spokesperson also assured that the passengers would land in Islamabad on the same day by 11 pm.
This incident took place two months after the national carrier expanded its flight operation to Saudi Arabia.
