Nighttime Surprise: Capybara Parade Stuns Brazilian Woman

A woman in Brazil witnessed a strange nocturnal spectacle outside her window. On June 20, Luciana Castello Branco Rangel of Brasilia discovered an unusual sight right after her dog woke her up in the middle of the night and ran to the balcony.

Curious about what had grabbed her dog's attention, she looked outside and was shocked by what she saw. A parade of at least ten capybaras was marching down her street in a single-file line, reports people.com

In the video, the capybaras, the world's largest rodent species, slowly walked down the street in front of her home. One of the larger capybaras seemed to be leading the group, with the others following behind, one after another.

Capybaras are native to South America and are known for their impressive size. They can grow to be 106 to 134 cm (3.48 to 4.40 ft) long and stand 50 to 62 cm (20 to 24 in) tall at the withers. They typically weigh between 35 to 66 kg (77 to 146 lb), with an average of 48.9 kg (108 lb) in the Venezuelan llanos.

This unexpected parade of capybaras was a rare and fascinating sight for Luciana, adding a touch of wonder to her night.
