A woman from Nederland shared spine-chilling details after being attacked by a mountain lion on Monday.
Sarah Jane Romano told that a mountain lion attacked her when she was running with her dog.
Romano’s dog, a pit bull, named Talia, suffered a skull fracture and puncture wounds on its head and neck, according to an account of the attack on a GoFundMe campaign.

After the incident, Talia spent the night at the Boulder Animal Hospital. GoFundME campaigns help the dog owner Romano to pay her veterinarian bills.
According to the account, Romano is a single mom, a dance teacher, and a massage therapist. Talia is her longtime running partner.
On April 19, when the big cat attacked the duo, Ramano somehow managed to shoo off the mountain lion before the attack got even worse.

The mountain lion population in the foothills of Boulder County is very healthy, said Jason Clay, a Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesman.
The agency came to know about the incident only through social media accounts, Clay said.
Anyone out with pets in the foothills of Boulder, Larimer, and Jefferson counties should be aware and alert for possible encounters with wildlife, including mountain lions, Clay said.
