Father puts his life on line to save son from raging bull, terrifying video goes viral

A shocking video has surfaced displaying a father use his body as a guard in order to protect his son from a raging bull.

Louisiana’s Landis Hooks has been eulogized for a decision of risking everything and coming to the rescue of his 18-year-old bull-rider son.

In the viral video, the father can be seen putting his body and life on the line to jump on top of his son lying unconscious on the floor as he saves him from a raging bull.

Bull riding is a dangerous sport, in which to get a point, a rider is needed to get on top of a bull and stay their for at least eight seconds with a one-hand grip. The angry bull, evidently, makes an attempt to throw the rider off as a response to the threat.

For instance, Cody Hooks. The 18-year-old was thrown on the ground barely moments into the game and lay supine. Seeing as Cody is almost unconscious, other riders rush in and try to divert the bull’s attention and keep it away. However, it manages to get past them to go back in Cody’s direction.

This was the moment Landis hooks left the stands and hugged the boy as the bull came raging towards them.

The father-son duo got nudged to the side after taking a hit from the bovine. However, the father is reported to have only suffered minor injuries and the son unharmed from the incident.

Cody, later, shared the clip on social media with the caption: “Not one to post falling off, but big thanks to my dad @hooks.landis and the bullfighters last night in Belton, Tx could’ve been a hella lot worse. #blessed.”
