Couple without mask abuses cops, calls them ‘beggar’; incident caught in camera
Amid the surge in COVID-19 cases in Delhi, Delhi Police has lodged an FIR against a couple for violating coronavirus guidelines during weekend curfew.
The video of a couple has been shared by the news agency, AN on Twitter with a caption, “A couple misbehaved with Delhi Police personnel in Daryaganj area earlier today after they were stopped & asked the reason for not wearing face masks. "An FIR under various sections of IPC has been lodged against them," said police.”
In the clip, the couple identified as Pankaj Dutta and Abha is seen abusing and misbehaving with police personnel who stopped their car for not wearing masks.
The woman also heard calling Delhi cops “beggars” for issuing challan.
The incident was reported in the Daryaganj area of Delhi on Sunday evening. Due to the curfew, only emergency services and people with e-passes were allowed to step out in Delhi.
Instead of following the COVID-19 curfew guidelines, the couple started arguing and misbehaving with the police personnel.

According to media reports, the couple neither had a curfew pass nor wearing face masks.
When police stopped their car, the woman started shouting at the personnel from the car and even threatened that she would kiss her husband. She further started abusing the cops and also told them there was no such thing as coronavirus and shouted that people were being harassed for no reason.
Later, police issued a challan against the couple, and women personnel were also being called from the police station to take the couple away.
Police have registered an FIR against the couple under Section 188 and 51B of DDMA.
