Bizarre! Minor boy asked to remove T-shirt with snake print at airport; know why
A bizarre case has surfaced the Internet from South Africa where a 10-year-old was forced to remove his t-shirt at the airport. The reason behind this was the snake that was imprinted on his t-shirt.
The minor boy named Stevie Lucas was traveling from Johannesburg to New Zealand along with his family.
As per the reports by the Independent, the little boy’s family claimed that Lucas was asked to change his tshirt before boarding the plane because authorities believed that the design could cause anxiety among other passengers onboard.
The news broke out at Twitter by a page called Aviation Fail with a caption, “A Boy, 10, is forced to take his shirt off before boarding a flight from #NewZealand to #SouthAfrica because it had a picture of a reptile on it.”
As per the media reports, Stevie was visiting his grandparents in South Africa and when he arrived at the OR Tambo, the incident took place. As per the photo shared on Twitter, the boy was wearing a black T-shirt that featured a large green snake printed on it. When airport authorities saw the T-shirt then they forced the child to remove his t-shirt as it was not proper clothing to be worn on board a flight.
Stevie’s parents Steve and Marga revealed that when security officers saw their child’s t-shirt they started telling them about rules related to toys and clothing, Daily Mail reports said.
