Artists can showcase their talent in any way or on anything. One such artist from the Philippines showed his outstanding talent on a bizarre canvas that is raising many eyebrows. She paints on the bodies of dead cockroaches.
Yes, you read that right!
While many of us get scared after seeing a cockroach, but this artist from the Philippines finds the dead bodies of cockroaches as her canvas.
The artist named Delgado hails from Caloocan City in Manila, said that it was “a spur-of-the-moment idea.” She further revealed that she got this bizarre idea when she was sweeping dead cockroaches at her working space. She paused for seconds and then noticed the shiny and smooth cockroach wings. Later, she thought if she could use the dead cockroaches as a canvas and decided to paint over it.
She uses oil paint and then she finished with beautiful scenes on the bodies of dead insects.
Among her works are portraits of Marvel’s Venom, the Green Goblin, and an imitation of Vincent Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’.
The 30-year-old artist wants other artists should not to be afraid to explore their talents and also urged them to give challenge themselves to do impossible things.
