In a shocking case has come to light from United Kingdom’s Ilford where a one-year-old baby girl and three-year-old boy have been stabbed to death at a house in north-east London, police said.
Police also found 40-year-old with knife injuries at the home in Ilford and his condition was unknown after he was rushed to a major trauma centre for treatment.
According to the reports in mirror.co.uk, the deceased children and the man knew each other.
Officers are "not looking for anyone else" following the suspected double murder.
Police found all the three people injured when police, paramedics and an air ambulance reached the spot on Sunday.
Shockingly, the ghastly incident took place when the United Kingdom was put under lockdown for the fifth straight weekend.
However, the one-year-old girl died on the spot. While the three-year-old boy rushed to the trauma centre where he died of his injures.
Homicide detectives from Specialist Crime have taken over the investigation.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "A murder investigation is underway following an incident in Ilford.
"Police were called at approximately 5.30 pm on Sunday following reports of a man and two children injured at a residential address in Aldborough Road North, Ilford.
Jas Athwal, the leader of Redbridge Council, tweeted: "Earlier today there was an incident in Ilford. Two young children have passed away & an investigation is ongoing. My thoughts are with the family and wider community who are grieving this unspeakable tragedy. I am in contact with the police who are doing all they can to bring the investigation to a resolution.
We ask that everyone please respects the family's privacy at this difficult time."
According to the reports, the crime rate in the UK has dropped during the lockdown, but on Sunday, the criminal cases have been reported.
As in Smethwick in the West Midlands, a 20-year-old was stabbed to death.
