Repeal ObamaCare or 'You're Fired': Trump jokingly warns Price

U.S. President Donald Trump appeared to joke in his address at the Boy Scouts of America's National Jamboree that he would fire Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price if he fails to scrap Obamacare.

Speaking at the occasion, Trump pointed out that several cabinet members are Eagle Scouts.

He said Price, along with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Vice President Mike Pence, Energy Secretary Rick Perry and Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke all attained the highest rank in scouting.

Introducing Price at the camp, 70 miles west of White Sulphur Springs, Trump said he hopes to "get the votes" tomorrow for a procedural vote toward repealing ObamaCare, reports Fox News.

He better get them," Trump said. "Otherwise, I'll say, 'Tom, You're Fired'."

After the comment Price could be seen laughing, as Trump smiled and turned towards him.

"[They] better get Senator Capito to vote for it," he added, referring to West Virginia's Republican Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, who opposes a clean repeal.

Earlier in the day the President tweeted, "Any senator who votes against starting debate is telling America that you are fine w/ the #OCareNightmare!(sic)"

Trump's remarks come amid failed GOP pushes so far to repeal and replace Obamacare, with the White House urging Republicans to act this week.

The Republicans control the Senate with 52 votes, so they can only afford to lose two votes on any legislation to overhaul health care. Several GOP senators have already expressed opposition or are on the fence.
