Twitteritis celebrated 'Pancake-munching' or 'Shrove Tuesday' today with amazing GIF, memes and of course strings of hilarious tweets. This day is commonly celebrated in Commonwealth countries and Ireland.
Some people found this bizarre that the 'Shrove Tuesday' which basically means absolution for sins by doing penance has been co-opted into consumer culture as "International Pancake Day."
There were other food bloggers who shared that they prepare more than 50 kinds of pancake yet their children never liked it but today they want pancake for breakfast.
Besides, those who weren’t aware that such a day exists said, “Think I need to work a bit less and spend a bit more time with normal people talking about pancakes.”
