The day after India strikes Jaish camp in Balakot across LoC, the US has asked neighbouring country, Pakistan to take ‘meaningful action’ against the terrorist groups in the country. The move by the US came after India ‘completely’ destroyed the main camp of Jaish across the Line of Control.
President Donald Trump administration also called for India and Pakistan to "exercise restraint" amid heightened tension between the two countries. "We encourage India and Pakistan to exercise restraint, and avoid escalation at any cost," US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement today after speaking with the foreign ministers of both countries.

Pompeo also spoke separately with Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj and Pakistan FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi on the matter. "I spoke to Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to underscore the priority of de-escalating current tensions by avoiding military action and the urgency of Pakistan taking meaningful action against terrorist groups operating on its soil," Pompeo said as quoted by news agencies.
On Tuesday early morning in revenge for the Pulwama attack, India strikes Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad’s Balakot camp across LoC. The camp was headed by Jaish chief Masood Azhar’s brother-in-law Yusuf Azhar.
