The London Police is investigating a string of acid attacks in the city on 13 July after two men riding a moped threw acid on individuals in five separate attacks.
The Metropolitan Police said the assaults appeared to be linked and two involved victims having their mopeds stolen, while adding that one victim had been left with "life-changing" injuries, reports the Independent.
The incidents occurred on the streets of Hackney, Stoke Newington and Islington within a 72-minute interval.
A teenager has been arrested on suspicion in relation to the case.
At the start of the rampage, a 32-year-old moped driver had been approached by the pair as he drove towards the Hackney Road junction with Queensbridge Road.
The attackers had tossed the corrosive substance into his face before one of them jumped on to his vehicle and drove away.
