At least 21 people were killed and several others wounded after a female suicide bomber blew herself up in a market south of the capital Baghdad on 9 June, according to media reports.
The attack which occurred as people were out shopping during Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting, came hours after a bomb exploded in the Shiite holy city of Karbala near Mussayyib wounding at least four people.
The ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Musayyib and Karbala are predominantly Shiite Muslim, a sect that IS considers heretics.
