In a diplomatic warfare between China, Pakistan and the rest of the world over Jaish chief Masood Azhar’s designation as ‘global terrorist’, the former has again vetoed its power and has let the ball rolling in the United Nations Security Council.
Even after persistent efforts by India through back channel calls and assembling a united support against Pakistan based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar and the United States maintaining a quid pro quo over the issue, China blocked it for the fourth time and now, India is ‘disappointed’.
Although, the US Embassy has said they would be taking ‘other actions’ against this step of China and expressed that they were not happy with the veto of China.
US Embassy Spokesperson: With respect to China, the United States and China share a mutual interest in achieving regional stability and peace, and a failure to designate Masood Azhar runs counter to this goal. https://t.co/4W2CTa1stK
