The US Federal agencies have found 'bombs' and explosive devices at the house of former US President Barack Obama and former First Lady Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton's house.
The explosive devices which were found at the home of Obama and Clinton’s were mailed to them, which has led to an extensive investigation, the FBI said here on Wednesday.
The office of CNN in New York was also evacuated after it was found that explosive contents have been mailed to the news organization as well. None of the devices have harmed anyone and all the staff and people are safe.
In a statement, the Secret Service said it had “intercepted two suspicious packages addressed to Secret Service protectees,” who were identified as Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Obama.
The White House in a statement has condemned the incident saying it as “the attempted violent attacks.” The statement said, “These terrorizing acts are despicable, and anyone responsible will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” adding that “The United States Secret Service and other law enforcement agencies are investigating and will take all appropriate actions to protect anyone threatened by these cowards.”
The US President's son, Donald Trump Junior also hit out on Twitter, and wrote: "As someone whose family has directly been the victim of these mail threats I condemn whoever did this regardless of party or ideology, this crap has to stop and I hope they end up in jail for a long time."
