At least nine militants were killed in clashes between the Lashkar-e-Islami (LeI) and the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.
The Khaama Press quoted the 201st Silab Corps as saying that the clashes took place in the vicinity of Mamand Dara area of Achin district.
Three LeI and six IS militants were among those killed, Silab Corps added.
Seven militants from both groups were also injured in the group.
Last year in October, a deadly fight between the two factions of Taliban in western Heart region left 50 insurgents dead.
