The post shared by Akshay showed his father in the hospital ward was smiling while watching TMKOC show.
He captioned the post, “So my dad suffered a brain stroke and was in the ICU for almost 6 days. The first thing which he asked me to put on the television once he was shifted to a wad was Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma. Luckily there was a scene of Jeth and Babita going on and I could see him smiling. Such is the power of this show. This is a small tribute to the show and its makers!”

Tarak Mehta ka ooltah chashma should be nominated for highest national award. It's not a joke to run the program for so long with full ON entertainment. Jethaji is all time favourite and should be given a National award too for entertaining us non stop from so many years
