Comedy King Kapil Sharma lands in controversy after he came out in support of Navjot Singh Sidhu over his comments on Pulwama terror attack. Soon after his statement, Kapil Sharma faced backlash on social media and #BoycottKapilSharmaShow and #UnsubscribeSonyTV became trends on Twitter.
The hashtag started trending on social media after Comedy King spoke on the controversy over his show and Navjot Singh Sidhu and said sacking Sidhu is not the solution.
"These are very small things, or can also be a part of propaganda. I feel banning someone or sacking Navjot Singh Sidhu from the show (The Kapil Sharma Show) is not the solution. We need to look for a permanent solution," he told the reporters after taking an oath for a drug-free India at an Art of Living event on Monday.
Talking about the recent Pulwama terror attack, Kapil Sharma said that he is with the government. "We are with the government but still we need a permanent solution. The cowardly act in Pulwama that killed our soldiers shouldn't be forgotten and the culprits should be punished," he added.
However, Kapil Sharma's step for defending Navjot Singh Sidhu did not go down well with the netizens following which a new hashtag trend started on Twitter and Kapil has to face new rage from his fans and followers.
