Since Manmeet Grewal committed suicide over financial crunch and no work amid lockdown TV industry is mourning his death and are also revealing dark truths from the industry. Recently, Hamari Bahu Silk show that went off air within 7 months of its release last year is hitting the headlines because the actors from the show have shared a video highlighting the misery of small actors.
Taking to the social media lead actor of the show Zaan Khan shared series of videos informing his fans about the non-payment of dues, despite giving the producers more than 6 months’ time to give them their hard-earned money.

In the videos, we can see other co-actors from the show, assistant director, spot boy, cameraman, make-up artist, stylist and others talking about the non-payment of their salary. The actress of the show Kirti Choudhary said, “Our payment has been stopped for almost a year. I hope you understand that we have worked for 7 months, 17 to 18 hours every day even on festivals like Diwali and Rakhi. Our producers and channel are not helping us. Please help us. We need it. As an actor, I had to leave my Mumbai house because I don't have money to pay rent. I had to return home and seek help from my parents because I am helpless. We used all our savings in travelling to the sets and other expenses."

While others added that due to the non-payment of their dues they are facing difficulties in the current situation (Coronavirus Crisis). One of the actors Karan Manocha in his video mentioned that the producers have stopped answering their calls and messages.
They all further added that if this continues then someone among them might take a drastic step just like Manmeet Grewal. Well, not just Zaan even Nia Sharma while condoling the death of Manmeet added that few of her actor friends are also going through the same situation.
