Amazon Rainforest is burning from the past 18 days and this has become one of the major issues of the planet. It is one of the largest intense fires that have occurred in the last ten years. The rainforest in Brazil is burning at a rapid scale covering almost thousands of forest. States like Rondônia, Roraima, Mato Grosso do Sul, Acre, Amazonas, among others are badly affected by the fire, as per BBC report.
Amazon which is also called the planet’s lungs is one of the crucial areas for all human beings as it produces 20 per cent of the oxygen in the Earth’s atmosphere. Even Celebrities have come out and showed their concern over the issue. Actors who send their prayers on social media are Arjun Bijlani, he took to his twitter handle and wrote, “The lungs of our planet is in a critical situation. It was on fire from the past 17 days and no major news media has been covering the fires in the Amazon. Is this how we ensure a better future for the planet? #PrayForTheAmazon”

Nach Baliye 9 fame Shantanu Maheshwari’s girlfriend Nityaami Shirke also posted on her Insta story which read that it's devastating that this issue is not getting the coverage and recently only she got aware of this issue that our world is facing. She asked the media to cover the issue and also encouraged people to spread awareness regarding the Amazon fire.
