Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on top of the list of the most followed followers on Twitter. This is confirmed by Twitter himself a few days ago. In 2016, PM Modi's Twitter had 24.6 million followers and till 4th December this year, his followers increased and has 37.5 million. Following PM Modi, Amitabh Bachchan is on second number, whose followers are 31.5 million.
But now there are two iconic cricketers who have defeated PM Modi. These two cricketers are Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. These two players are included in the list of Top 10 followers on Twitter. With 21.7 million followers, former batting maestro Tendulkar is at the eighth position, Kohli with 10.8 million followers is on 10th position.
Despite Sachin and Kohli staying at the 8th and 10th positions, the two sports people have defeated PM Modi. In fact, the number of followers of the prime minister has increased by 52 percent compared to last year. The number of Tendulkar's present followers is 21.9 million. Last year, the number of followers was 13.9 million, which is one crore nine lakhs. This number rose 56 percent compared to last year. Team India skipper Kohli's number of current followers is 20.9 million. Whereas last year their number of followers was 12.9 million, which is 1 crore 29 lakh. This number has increased by 61 percent compared to last year.
