Reliance Jio seems to have set their eyes on Artificial Intelligence this time after they took the telecom industry with a blow with the launch of Jio 4G services. The telecom giant has launched what it calls “world’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) based brand engagement platform – JioInteract”. This is an AI-based interactive platform which listens to the user and responds accordingly.

The platform comes with an auto-learning feature that learns from the users and improves the answering accuracy with time.

Among the various features available with Jio interact, there is one where users can video call with celebrities. Jio in a press release revealed that services such as video call centres, video catalogue, and virtual showrooms will soon be added to the platform. Jio interact can also be used as a platform to promote movies.

To give an idea of how the platform will work – for movie promotions and users – it has roped in Amitabh Bachchan to promote the actor’s latest movie.

The live video call option will provide the users with an option to video call Amitabh Bachchan, starting from 4th May 2018. One would need to download My Jio app in order use this feature. The company has also included an option to share the videos after users are done chatting with their friends and family.

Reliance Jio is using JioInteract as VCBaaS (Video Call Bot as a Service) which uses multimedia capabilities along with AI and video call technologies.

Reliance Jio are exploring new ideas and with them newer markets in the technology sector. They have been digging the market up and every time they are done, they come up with something exciting. Let's see what comes this time..
